April was a busy month for me with signing activities and travel for Immoral Symphony and preparation for the release of Return to Chastity. I remember saying that I would never miss a deadline from a publisher--but I did by a few days. My editor "had at" my manuscript and I made the decisions that each author must make. What changes do I accept and which do I reject? I then sent the "clean" manuscript to JADA Press where there will be another edit and I get another chance to choose. I also designed what I think my cover should look like and sent that to JADA. Most of you probably know that most publishers consider the cover design to be totally their province. Happily, my publisher is willing to work any issues between their designer and me. We both want the same thing--a cover that draws readers to pick it up.
So, publication is still on schedule for release in July.
At the risk of being the laughing stock, I want to tell you about my pre-order page. If you have done any work with Page Builder or HTML, you may appreciate this. After a few tries to get my bank and Pay Pay on the same wavelength, I finally earned a logo to put on my webpage. Then the fun started. I made many attempts to upload the logo, but when I moved it to my page, I ended up with a logo AND HTML code in the middle of my text. Having a smart writing partner, I called Terri and we went through all the steps over the phone with both of our computers following along. But, we couldn't make it work, until by some trick of fate I did a series of steps that I could not duplicate and it worked. I don't know why I have the logo and don't look forward to having to do it again. I guess it was pure magic.
So after all of that, you may want to go to my pre-order page to purchase a book at a discount and also receive an autographed copy.
I received my first review from a fellow author and I am very pleased with it. It will be among others on my back cover. I have also posted it on my review page and you may be interested in reading it.
