I'd like to tell you a bit about myself and my work. I'm an author who researches issues within our country before writing about them as fiction. Why fiction? Hopefully, my readers will be drawn to the lives of my characters more fully than they would be to dry non-fiction. The emotions caused by the lives of the characters may provide a link to real life for my readers.
You may wonder why most of my books are in the mystery or suspense genres. Readers like mysteries and suspenses and the parallel plots of murder and mayhem fill out the twisting plots I aim to write.
So what are the issues I have written about? Mostly the success of the human spirit to overcome huge obstacles such as: homelessness, teenage life on the streets, physical handicaps, treatment of mentally handicapped in the justice system, bio-tampering with our food supply, spousal abuse, and economic deprivation. Along the way, you'll also find excursions into reincarnation and the joy of finding the love of your life.
Being a writer usually also means holding strong opinions. I am the holder of such opinions and they will be the subject of the blogging I intend to do on this site.
